Maybe reading this thinking this is not for you, I relay the experience for those who find it applicable to them. You can play the entire campaign or workshop creations with friends. There is a lot of good mulitplayer and workshop support with this title, but even replaying just the campaign again will give a lot of replay value. If you're familiar with the style of game, you know there's a lot of walking twenty feet, a few hundred monsters spawn instantly without warning, a massive battle ensues, and then you walk another fifty feet after defeating the horde another few hundred appear again. The most difficulties I had was with cheap insta-death parts from some turrets and some Khnum attacks and sometimes the readiness of the size of the spawning horde, maybe died about 60-80 times total, im not sure. In about seventeen hours it felt like a massive accomplishment to see through the campaign. The criticisms I read beforehand involved the dark tombed areas, some lame enemy spawn patterns and the generic aesthetic not changing over the course of the game.Īs I played the first few levels I remained aware of these criticisms but by the end of the journey things got a lot more serious than I expected and I was left played out and satisfied.
